A penthouse around a glass stair

Sadashivanagar, Bengaluru

Location: Sadashivanagar, Bengaluru
Type: Residential, Turnkey
Area: 3,600 sq ft
Duration: 18 weeks
Completed: 2023

A duplex penthouse opened up around a new floating staircase, with a lacquered blue kitchen.

The brief

The owners wanted to connect the two levels of their penthouse properly. The existing stair was enclosed and dark, and the upper terrace barely used.

Our approach

We replaced the stair with a floating timber flight and a frameless glass balustrade, opening sightlines to the terrace. Downstairs, a deep blue lacquer kitchen with a marble waterfall island anchors the living space.
